Prayog Social Foundation

Prayog Social Foundation is located right on Bhausingji Road in Kolhapur. We are in the 2319-C Ward area, which is a pretty old and established part of the city. Our building is easy to find if you know the area. We’ve been here for some time now, just trying to be helpful where we can. Kolhapur is a place with a lot of heart, and we try to reflect that in what we do. It’s not always pretty work; sometimes it involves a lot of running around in the heat or dealing with messy paperwork. We aren't a big organization with fancy brochures. Most of our support comes from word of mouth among people who live nearby. We focus on the practical stuff that matters to the local families. Our office is usually filled with stacks of paper and people coming in to ask questions. We try to listen more than we talk. Some days are quite stressful when we have more people needing help than we have hands to help them. But we just take it one day at a time and do what is possible. It is a bit of a squeeze in our office space sometimes, but we like the energy of being right in the middle of the city. We are just local folks trying to do right by our neighbors in Maharashtra, making sure we don't forget why we started this.
