Parvati Mohite Foundation

Our foundation is located in Vadgaon, right near the Ambapwadi Phata. We’re situated on National Highway 4, which is a busy stretch of road. If you’re driving through Kolhapur towards Hatkanangale, you’ll probably pass by our building. Our address is R.S. No. 347, but most people just know us as the office near the Phata. It’s a practical spot to be. We have a lot of trucks rumbling past all day and night, so it gets a bit dusty and loud, but we’re used to it. The office itself is very basic. We have some metal cupboards for our files and a few chairs for visitors. We aren't a big corporate group. We don’t have a PR department or anyone to write fancy articles about us. It’s just a small group of local people who wanted to help out in the surrounding villages. We spend a lot of our time traveling to different spots in the Hatkanangale taluka. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so we keep everything very simple. Sometimes the phone lines go down or the power cuts out, but we just keep going. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done for the community.
