Our office is S 7, up on the second floor of the Trade Center. Being on Station Road means it’s pretty easy to find us, though the traffic can be a bit much during rush hour. Nilay Architects And Interior Designers is just a local team of us working in this space. We’ve got desks piled with blueprints and folders. It’s a functional place, not really a showroom. We spend a lot of time on our computers or talking to people about their building projects. The Trade Center is an older building, but it suits us fine. There’s a certain routine we follow every day. We get in, check the messages, and start on the drawings. Sometimes we have to go out to site visits, which gets us out of the office for a bit. The second floor gets a decent amount of light in the afternoons. We aren't a giant firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of people who enjoy the work. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Station Road is always moving. We try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks through the door. It’s about getting the walls in the right place and making sure the measurements are correct. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule as much as possible.
