Our place is called Baba Nivas, located right on Vadarage Road in Gadhinglaj. It’s a solid building, number 2576. Being in the Kolhapur district, things move at a slightly different pace than the big cities, which suits us just fine. Mitcon Consultancy Ltd has been operating from here for a while. The office is pretty straightforward. We have our files, some old computers, and enough space to sit down and talk. Vadarage Road can get a little dusty in the summer, but it’s a main path so people are always passing by. We know the shopkeepers nearby, and usually, someone drops by for a quick chat during the day. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a regular building where we do our business. Sometimes we have to deal with the power cuts that happen in this part of Maharashtra, so we just take a break and sit on the porch until the lights come back on. The interior is simple, mostly just functional furniture and some maps on the wall. We don’t really go in for decorations much. It’s more about getting the work done and making sure everything is recorded correctly. The rainy season gets quite heavy here in Gadhinglaj, and you can hear the water hitting the roof pretty loudly. It’s a very local way of working, and we wouldn't have it any other way. People know where Baba Nivas is, so finding us isn't too hard for anyone in the area.
