Matrutvavardan Foundation

Our foundation is based in the town of Malvan. If you know the area, we are right near the petrol pump. The address is house number 783/B, and it is in the name of Vishnu Sudhakar Mondkar. Malvan is a coastal place, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. We like that. It gives us time to actually talk to people. We do not have a corporate office. It is just a house where we do our work. You might hear the birds or the sound of the town passing by while we sit and talk. We started this because we wanted to do something for the people in our own backyard. Malvan has its own unique challenges, being a bit away from the main hubs. We try to help out with whatever comes up. Sometimes it is health-related, other times it is about helping families. We do not have any formal statements on the wall. We just know what needs to be done. Most of the people who come to see us are people we have known for years. It is a very close-knit community. We do not spend money on advertising or anything like that. Everyone knows where the petrol pump is, so they know where to find us. We spend our days meeting with locals and trying to find solutions to small problems before they become big ones. It is simple work, but it feels important to us.
