Maha Csr Development Association

We are based in Borawade village, which is part of the Kagal Taluka in Kolhapur district. Our address is actually the home of Shri Bhakare Tukaram Shamrao. It is a very rural setting, far away from the big city offices people usually think of. Being in Kolhapur, the pace of life is a bit slower here, and we like it that way. Most people around here are farmers or work in local trades. We set up this association to help bring some development to this corner of Maharashtra. We don't have a fancy logo or a big staff. It is mostly just a few of us coordinating things from the house. Sometimes we meet under the trees or at the local village square. The rains here can be quite heavy, which sometimes makes traveling to the nearby towns a bit of a challenge. We focus on the local needs of Borawade and the surrounding areas. People know Tukaram and where he lives, so they just walk in whenever they have something to discuss. It is a very open way of doing things. We don't have formal office hours; we are just around. Dealing with the paperwork for development work can be a headache, but we manage. We just want to see things get a little better for the people in our taluka.
