Korde General Stores

Korde General Stores is tucked away at Plot No.1533 C in Laxmipuri. We are specifically on Ward Pan Lane. If you see Parmaar Cycles, you are very close to us. The lane is quite narrow, so it’s usually better to walk or use a bike than to try and bring a big car down here. We’ve been in this ward for a long time. The store is filled with all sorts of things packed onto the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a few people inside at once. We don't have a fancy layout or a designer who told us where to put things. We just put them where they fit. You’ll see us moving boxes around most mornings to make space. The neighborhood is loud and there is always someone talking outside. We know most of the families who live around Laxmipuri. They come in for their daily needs. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the inventory is right and the shop is open on time. Sometimes we run out of space and have to keep things near the back. The building is older, but it serves us well. We don't spend money on big signs. People just know the name Korde. It’s a local spot where the day goes by fast because there is always something to count or clean.
