Hope Alive Foundation

We are located down in Kolhapur, in the Gokul Shirgaon area. Our place is on Plot No P-79 and P-82. It’s a bit different from the crowded Mumbai offices we used to visit. We have more space out here in the industrial zone. The air is a bit different and the pace isn’t quite as fast as the big city. The Hope Alive Foundation has its base here. We have a couple of plots where we keep our stuff and run the daily operations. It’s a practical setup, mostly focused on getting the work done rather than looking fancy for anyone. We have some basic rooms for the staff and a small place to meet up. Gokul Shirgaon is mostly an industrial area, so there are factories and warehouses all around us. You can hear the sounds of work going on all day long. We are just a group of people who wanted to set something up here in this part of Maharashtra. It’s not a polished environment, there’s usually some dust from the road and the nearby plots when the wind picks up. We take our lunches together and talk about what needs to be fixed or finished by the end of the week. It’s honest work and we do it from these plots every day. If you are driving down, the plots are easy to find once you enter the Shirgaon industrial stretch.
