Hari Om Shivkrupa Foundation

Our place is called Shree Datta Niwas, and it’s right near the PWD office in Tarabai Park. If you know Kolhapur, you know this is a busy area with a lot of government offices around. We are at Plot No. 23 in the E Ward. Hari Om Shivkrupa Foundation started because a few of us wanted to do something useful for the people living around here. We don’t have a massive budget or a shiny office. It’s just a house that we use to run our operations. Most days you’ll find one or two of us sitting there, handling phone calls or talking to visitors. It gets quite busy during the day because of all the traffic near the PWD office. We’ve been here for a long time and the building is starting to show its age, but it works for us. We handle a bit of everything, from helping people with their problems to organizing small local gatherings. We don't put out ads or try to sound more important than we are. We’re just local people who care about our city. Sometimes we run out of chairs when too many people show up, but we manage. It’s a very practical setup. We know the pin code by heart, 416003, because we’ve filled out so many forms over the years. We’re just part of the neighborhood. We try to be helpful and stay grounded. That is really all there is to it for us here.
