Pravin

Chalkaranji is where we do everything. People here know the area as a place where work happens, especially with all the looms and textiles around. My name is Pravin, and I just run this small operation from here. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop feel where the floor is always a bit dusty and the noise of the town is always in the background. Most of the people working with me live nearby, so we all walk or take the bike to get here. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign outside. Usually, people just find us by asking around the neighborhood. The days start early because it gets hot later on. We handle a lot of different things depending on what’s needed that week. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. I’ve lived in this town my whole life, so I know most of the people who come through the door. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just take care of the orders as they come and try to keep things honest. If you need something, you just come by and find me. There’s always someone around who can point you to the right door. If you come by in the morning, you'll usually catch us having some tea before the real work starts.
