We run Kolasibagro Navfed Farmers Producer Company Limited from over in North Thingdawl. Specifically, we are based at F Hrangmuana’s place in the Venglai area. Being in Kolasib means we have a lot of hills to deal with and that makes farming a bit of a challenge sometimes. We started this group because we saw that working together was better than everyone trying to sell their stuff on their own. It’s a community effort more than a business in the way people usually think about it. We don’t have a flashy office or any of that. Just a room where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the ginger or whatever else we are growing this year. People in Venglai are mostly hard workers who don't have time for nonsense. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone has a problem with their crop, they come by and we see if the collective can help. It's about sharing the load.
