Rajesh Kirana Store

My name is Rajesh and I run this kirana store on the Chouparan - Chatra Road. It has been here for a while now. Most days I am just here behind the counter, making sure the jars are filled and the floor is swept. People stop by while they are travelling between Chouparan and Chatra. The road gets quite dusty sometimes, but that is just how it is. I usually open up in the morning before it gets too hot. I don't really have a big staff or anything, just a few of us helping out. We keep all the basic stuff like lentils, rice, and soap. Sometimes the stock delivery comes late, and I have to wait around for the truck. It's a small place but it stays busy enough. I know most of the people who live nearby by their faces. We talk about the weather or the traffic on the main road while I weigh out their sugar. My family helps out when I need a break. The shelves are getting a bit old now, but they hold everything just fine. I try to keep things where people can find them easily without asking me every time. It is not a fancy shop, just a regular place where you can get what you need for the kitchen. If you are driving along the Chouparan - Chatra Road, you will probably see the sign. I’ll be sitting there most likely, waiting for the next person to walk in and ask for something.
