Our office is out in K. Boikeri Village, which is quite a ways away from the big cities. It is near Virajpet in the Coorg area. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than they do in places like Bangalore. We have a post office nearby and that is about it for the main landmarks. The air is better here, but sometimes we have to deal with things like power cuts when the weather gets bad. We are doing software work but from a very quiet place. Most of us live nearby so we don't have to deal with much traffic, maybe just a few cows on the road now and then. The office itself is pretty simple. We have our computers set up and a couple of tables for lunch. It’s not a shiny glass building, just a regular place where we can sit and focus on the coding we need to do. It’s funny because people don't expect a software place to be in a village like this, but we make it work just fine. We have our routine every day, starting early before it gets too warm. It stays mostly quiet except for the birds and the occasional tractor passing by. It’s a good spot for us because we don't have the distractions of the city. We just come in, do our bits of code, and head home. It is a very different way to live and work compared to the busy city life.
