Superintendent - Computer Cell

This is the Computer Cell over at the Cr Building. We are right on I. S. Press Road, which is quite close to Saint Albert College. If you're walking from the college, it's just a short distance. The building is an older one. You can feel the history when you walk through the hallways. As the Superintendent’s office, we handle a lot of the digital stuff for the department. It's mostly paperwork and managing the systems they have here. The rooms have those high ceilings you see in older Kochi buildings. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always spinning. We have a few desks cluttered with files and old monitors. It's a busy spot, people coming in and out all day asking questions about their records. We try to keep things moving. There is a specific smell of old paper and electronics in the air. I’ve worked here for several years now. You get used to the rhythm of the place. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is a highlight for most of us. Being near the college means there’s always a lot of energy outside on the street. It’s a bit chaotic with the buses and students, but we are used to it. We just focus on the screens and the ledgers. It's a practical setup, nothing for show. Just people doing their jobs in a cramped office. We usually lock up around five and head home.
