Shankar Enterprises

You can find Shankar Enterprises on Ajad Road. We are out here in the district, away from the big city noise. The road is dusty and there are always tractors or cows moving past at a slow pace. Our building is a simple one-story structure with a heavy door that we pull shut every evening. Inside, the walls are painted a pale color that has faded over the years. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that creak a bit when they are on high. We spend most of our time talking to people who come in from the surrounding villages. They usually have a lot to say about the crops or the rain. We listen and do our business as best as we can. It’s a quiet way to live, but it suits us. There is a small tea stall just across the road where we go when we need a break. The owners there know exactly how we like our tea. Sometimes we stay open a little later if someone is coming from far away, but usually, we follow the sun. When it gets dark, Ajad Road gets very quiet, and that’s when we head home. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s just a regular business in a regular town, doing things the way they’ve always been done since we first opened up shop here many years ago.
