Moobaa Early Learning Centre

Moobaa Early Learning Centre sits at Plot No 176 in the Mavelipuram Township. If you know the Kakkanad West area in Ernakulam, you probably know where we are. It is a busy part of town but the township itself stays fairly calm. We started this place because we saw a lot of families moving into the area who needed somewhere for their children to go during the day. Our rooms are filled with things for the kids to do, from puzzles to blocks. It gets pretty loud around ten in the morning when everyone is wide awake and playing. We try to keep a routine, like having snacks at the same time, but kids are kids and things change. The staff here are mostly moms themselves who understand what it is like. We don't use big words or fancy teaching methods. We just talk to the children and help them learn how to share and be kind to each other. The walls are covered in drawings that the kids made, and we don't worry too much if there is a bit of paint on the floor. It shows people are actually doing things. Parents often stop to chat for a bit at the gate when they pick up their little ones. It feels like a small community here in Mavelipuram. We just keep things simple and honest, trying to make the day go smoothly for everyone involved.
