Dolphinz Pre School

Dolphinz Pre School is tucked away at 8/775 Muthirakalayil House on Kavungamoola Road. It is a familiar spot for people living in the Thengod area of Ernakulam. The school is basically in a house, which makes it feel less like a big institution and more like a home. You can see the small backpacks lined up by the door in the morning. Ernakulam can be very rainy, so we spend a lot of time making sure the floors are not slippery when the kids come in. Inside, it is full of alphabet posters and plastic blocks. The kids are usually busy doing something, whether it is singing or just drawing circles on paper. We do not have a huge staff, just a few of us who look after the children and make sure they eat their snacks. Parents often stop to chat for a minute when they drop off their kids. It is a tight-knit little neighborhood. The sound of children playing is pretty much the soundtrack of this street. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when everyone wants to play with the same tricycle at once. We just handle it as it comes. It isn't a high-pressure environment. We just want the kids to have a place to be while their parents are at work. It is simple and we like the routine of it all. We have been here for a while and the neighbors are used to us.
