Kuruvilla & Sons

At C-41-2028 on Market Road, you’ll find the shop for Kuruvilla & Sons. It’s been a family thing for a long time, and you can see that in how the place is run. There’s always someone from the family around, usually arguing about where a certain tool went or who forgot to lock the back gate. Market Road is always loud and full of people, so we get a lot of noise coming in from the street. Our shop is full of all sorts of items, and it can feel a bit like a maze if you don't know your way around the shelves. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big ledgers that sit on the main desk. It’s a practical way of doing things that has worked for us for years. We do a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff from the warehouse area to the front. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places, but it holds up. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate because we like the way things are. It’s just about getting the work done and making sure the people who come in find what they need. Some days we stay late just to finish off the paperwork while the street outside finally gets quiet. It’s just how we have always done things.
