We’ve been here at the Kvk Kutti Building for a good while now. It’s right on Nanadakkavu Cross Road, so most people around here know the spot. Usually, the shop is a bit cluttered with parts and tools. When a fridge stops working in this heat, it’s a real problem for a family, so we stay busy. It’s mostly just us getting our hands dirty with compressors and gas refills. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it's just quiet work in the back. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. Just the tools we need and a lot of old units sitting around. People drop by after work to ask questions or bring in small cooling parts that need a look. It gets dusty inside with all the traffic on the cross road, but that’s just how it is. We try to get things back to people as fast as we can because nobody wants their milk spoiling. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, so moving the big double-door models takes a bit of muscle and patience. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We aren't big on talking much, we just like to get the job done and move to the next one. It’s a simple life running a repair shop in this part of town. We see the same faces every few years when something else breaks down.
