You’ll find Utkarsha Kala at N-3/325 in IRC Village, over in the Nayapalli area. It’s more of a home-office setup than a big commercial building. We deal with various arts and crafts from around the region. The rooms are usually filled with boxes and samples of different things we are working on. It’s a bit cluttered, to be honest. We aren't very good at keeping everything perfectly tidy because we are always busy with new projects. We work with local artists to bring their stuff to a wider audience. We spend a lot of time on the phone or traveling to meet people who make things. The neighborhood is quiet, which is nice for when we need to focus. We don't have a big sign outside, so you might miss us if you aren't looking closely. It’s just a few of us trying to make a business out of things we actually like. We don't have a big mission statement or anything fancy. We just try to sell good art and make sure the artists get paid. Sometimes we stay late packing boxes for shipping. The internet is a bit spotty here sometimes, which slows us down. But we manage. It’s a small, honest operation in the heart of Nayapalli. We keep a lot of bubble wrap around because things break easily if we aren't careful.
