Rajnandini

We are located on the ground floor of Hotel Shree Hari Grand, right on Grand Road in Puri. This area is called Balagandi, and it’s a very spiritual place because the Jagannath Temple is just a short walk away. You can always hear the bells and the sounds of pilgrims outside. Being at Marchikot Chhaka means we are right where all the action happens, especially during the big festivals. Rajnandini is a simple spot. We didn't want to make it too fancy because that doesn't really fit the vibe of Puri. Most of the people who come to see us are tired from their travels or from visiting the temple, so they just want a decent spot to sit and eat. We keep the doors open and the fans running to deal with the coastal humidity. The staff here are used to the big crowds that come during the Rath Yatra. It gets very chaotic then, but we just do our best to keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate handbook. We just treat people like they are guests in our own house. The food is local and simple, exactly what you would expect in this part of Odisha. If you are walking down Grand Road toward the temple, you will see us there on the corner. It’s a busy, holy place to be, and we are glad to be part of it.
