The Laguna

We’re located over at Sipasurabali, tucked inside The Chariot Resort & Spa here in Puri. Most people know this part of Baliapanda pretty well because it’s a bit away from the main town clutter. We’ve been running The Laguna for a while now, and it’s mostly just us trying to keep things steady for whoever drops by. Puri can get really busy during the festival seasons, so we see a lot of different faces coming through the gates. It’s a bit of a walk to some places, but being right by the coast makes the air feel different. We don’t really do fancy speeches about what we do. It’s just a place to stay and eat while you’re visiting the temple or the beach. Some days the humidity is quite something, and we’re just busy making sure the rooms are cool and the water is running right. The staff here mostly live nearby, so we know the area well. If someone asks for directions to the sea, we just point them down the path. It isn't a complicated setup. We just open the doors in the morning and get to work. Sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes the whole place is full of families shouting and kids running around. That’s just how it goes here in Odisha. We like the rhythm of it. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this clean and ready, but we’ve got a good rhythm down.
