Raj Prasadam

We are located at Raghunath Ashram, right by the South Gate of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. Being this close to the temple means we are in the middle of everything that happens here. The sounds of the temple bells and the chants are something we hear every single day of the week. Our place is where pilgrims and other visitors come when they are in town for darshan. It is a very old part of Puri, so the streets around us are narrow and almost always full of people, cows, and rickshaws moving about. We try our best to keep our space clean and quiet for those who come to stay or have a meal. It is not a fancy setup at all, just a practical one that serves the needs of the people visiting the temple. We spend a lot of our time preparing food and making sure there is enough for everyone who stops by. The weather here by the coast can be very humid, so we are always working on keeping the rooms aired out and comfortable. It is a humble kind of life for us here. We don't have big flashy signs or any of that modern decor you see in the city. We just follow the old ways of the area and try to be useful to the people who travel from very far away. You can see the temple walls from right outside, which is nice.
