Odina Garments Private Limited

You can find us at Plot No. 539 in the Uttaramunda Muhan area of Jatani. It’s right near Bhubaneswar, so we’re not too far from the main city traffic. We deal with garments mostly. It’s a pretty simple setup. We’ve got the machines and the fabric all in one space. Some days the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, which is frustrating but that’s just life here. We aren't trying to be some giant international brand or anything. We just make clothes that people can actually use. My cousin helped me set up the space last year. We spent a lot of time painting the walls and getting the tables level. It’s still a bit messy with threads and scraps of cloth everywhere on the floor. I try to sweep up every evening but by ten the next morning, it's the same again. It's a lot of long hours, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late. We grab food from the stall down the road. The address is a bit long to write out, but once you get to Jatani, most people know the general area. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the buttons don't fall off. Nothing too complicated about it. We’re just local people trying to make a living with some sewing. I guess it's not the most glamorous job in the world, but it keeps us busy.
