Mideast Integrated Steels Ltd. (Mesco)

We are over at the Bhubaneswar office for Mideast Integrated Steels Ltd., or Mesco as some people around here call it. Our place is in the I.R.C. Village, at N-1/334. It is a decent residential area, so it is a bit quieter than the actual steel plants. We have been here in Orissa at this pin code 751 015 for quite some time. The office is tucked away in the village, so it feels more like a home than a big corporate building. We spend our days handling the administrative side of things. There are usually files stacked up on the desks and the sound of the printer going. It is a regular office where we drink coffee and talk about the weekend while we work. The neighborhood is nice, and we know some of the people living nearby. It is a long way from the heavy industrial zones, which is a nice change of pace. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and find whoever is at their desk. We handle the paperwork, the payroll, and the letters that come in for the company. It is steady work. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just making sure the company's records are kept right. Most of us have lived in Bhubaneswar for years, so this is just another part of our daily life here.
