Larsen & Toubro Limited

Out here in Nalibasanta, life moves at its own pace. This is where Santosh Kumar Senapati runs the local operations for Larsen & Toubro Limited. We are located right via Berboi in the Puri district of Orissa. It is a quiet spot, but we stay busy with the local projects that come our way. Most of the people working here grew up nearby, so we know the roads and the land pretty well. We don't have a big shiny building. It’s more of a practical space where we keep our files and meet to talk about the day's plan. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit tricky, but we still get to where we need to be. We deal with a lot of different things, mostly stuff that keeps the local infrastructure moving. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just wait it out or work by the window. We’ve been part of this community for a good while. People know to find us near the post office if they have questions about the work happening nearby. We aren't big on talk; we just like to see things get built right. There’s a lot of pride in what we do here, even if it’s just a small office in Orissa. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure things stay on track. We've seen a lot of changes in the area, but our little office stays pretty much the same.
