Our office is located on Jena Math Lane, right in the Kundhaibent Sahi area of Puri, Orissa. Being in a place like Puri, you are always close to the old temples and the sea, but we stay focused on the engineering side of things. Dodla Engineering has been operating from this exact spot for a while now. The lane is one of those narrow ones you find in the older parts of the city where the cycles and cows compete for space. It can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the neighborhood. We handle various engineering projects and all the technical paperwork that comes along with them. It is not a huge facility with fancy equipment, but we have enough space for our desks and the big drawings we work on. The air here is often quite salty because of the coast, which sometimes means we have to wipe down the computers more often than you'd think. We are a small team and we know each other's habits pretty well. Most days involve looking at technical plans or talking to people on the phone about site visits. Puri is a big pilgrimage town, so sometimes the local festivals make it really hard to even get to the office through the crowds, but we always manage to make it work. We don't have a corporate structure. It’s mostly just us getting the jobs done as they come in. We like the quiet rhythm of Jena Math Lane when the tourists are elsewhere.
