Our business, Chhapanbhog Millets And Spices, is located over at Plot No N6/317 in Jayadev Vihar, IRC Village. It’s a busy part of Bhubaneswar and there’s always something happening outside. We spend most of our time dealing with millets and different types of spices. It’s a lot of work to get the grains sorted and the spices packed up right, but we’ve been doing it for a while now here in Orissa. The warehouse isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can keep everything dry and clean. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just a few of us making sure the bags are filled and the orders go out to the local shops. Some days the dust from the spices gets to you, especially the chili and turmeric, but you get used to it after a while. We like being in the Khordha area because it’s easy to get our supplies. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to provide decent millets and spices to the people who need them. Sometimes the rain makes the deliveries a bit late because the roads around IRC Village get some big puddles, but we do what we can. It’s just honest work. We don't have any big secrets or complex systems. We just show up, do the work, and go home.
