We are located up on the 5th floor of the IDCO Tower on Janpath. If you know Bhubaneswar, you know Janpath is always crowded with traffic and people moving around. Being up on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is nice when we take a short break from the paperwork. Our company is BBB HOTEL PRIVATE LIMITED. We do not have a big fancy lobby here since this is mostly where the administrative stuff happens. We deal with the bookings, the bills, and the staffing for our hotel operations. It can be a bit dry, sitting at desks and looking at computer screens all day, but it is what keeps the actual hotel running smoothly. Sometimes the elevator in the tower takes forever to arrive, so we end up chatting with the other people who work in the building. We are just a small group of people trying to make a go of the hotel business in Orissa. We do not have any fancy speeches about what we do. We just come in, drink some tea, and get to work on the room schedules. The city is growing fast and we are just trying to keep up with all the changes happening around Janpath. It is a lot of work but we are used to the pace by now. We focus on the basics like making sure the rooms are booked and the staff knows their shifts for the coming week.
