Apurva Agencies

Apurva Agencies has been sitting here at number 599 in Nayi Basti for a good while now. It is just a small place, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we get busy and time just slips away. Usually, the morning starts with someone sweeping the front step while the neighborhood wakes up. You see the same faces every day, people heading to work or kids going to school. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day, mostly paperwork and talking to folks who stop by with questions. Sometimes the phone rings too much and other times it stays quiet for hours. There is a tea stall just down the road that brings us chai in those small glass cups twice a day. That is usually when we take a break and sit on the plastic chairs for a few minutes. Dealing with stuff in Nayi Basti means you have to get used to the narrow streets and the noise of the bikes going past. It is not always easy to get deliveries in because of the traffic, but we manage somehow. We have some old wooden desks that have been here since the start. They are a bit scratched up now, but they still work fine for what we do. Most people around here know where we are, right near the old corner. We just keep things moving, day in and day out.
