We are located right across from the railway station in Nadiad, near Sarvajanik Hospital. It is a very busy spot. You can hear the trains coming and going all day long. Sometimes the building even shakes a little bit when the big engines pass by. Being in Kanjari Nadiad means there are always people traveling through, so we see a lot of different faces. Our space is filled with all sorts of things we’ve made or found. It’s a bit crowded inside, but we know where everything is kept. The hospital across the road brings a lot of people to this street, so it’s rarely quiet. We just open up in the morning and stay until late evening. The light in the shop isn't the best, but we manage with a few extra bulbs. We don't have a fancy website or a big office. It’s just us here, handling the items and talking to the locals. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside very muddy, and we have to put down cardboard so people don't slip. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean with all the soot from the station. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things moving. It's an honest living and we are used to the noise of the station by now. Sometimes the station master comes over for a chat when he is off his shift. It makes the day go by faster. We have enough tea to keep us going.
