Elecon Engineering Co. Ltd.

Being out here on Anand Sojitra Road at Elecon Engineering Co. Ltd. means we have plenty of space, though it never feels like enough when the big shipments come in. We spend our days dealing with gears, motors, and all sorts of heavy parts. The sun gets quite hot on the roof of the sheds, so we tend to start early to get the bulk of the heavy lifting done before midday. We aren’t really the type for long meetings or fancy presentations; mostly we are just walking around the floor with a clipboard or a wrench. The post box address makes it sound small, but once you walk past the gates, there is a lot going on. There’s a constant hum of machinery that you eventually just stop hearing after a few weeks of working here. We have some older machines that still run like a charm and newer ones that take a bit more fiddling with. Our staff mostly live nearby, so there is a lot of talk about local news during the lunch hour. We handle a lot of technical drawings that end up covered in oily thumbprints by the time the part is finished. It is just a matter of making sure things fit together and move the way they are intended to. We don’t worry much about how the office looks as long as the workshop is productive. It is a long road, but we have made it our home.
