You can find C. L. Sadany & Sons right at 1, Railway Market in Goal Bazaar. If you are familiar with the Dist-Midnapur West area, you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times. We are right in the thick of things. It’s a family business that’s been passed down through a couple of generations. My father still comes in most mornings to sit in his favorite chair and watch the crowd. The shop is pretty small and we have stuff stacked all the way to the ceiling. It can be hard to move around sometimes when we get a new delivery in. We sell a bit of everything that the locals might need for their homes or small farms. There isn't any fancy air conditioning here, just a couple of old fans that hum all day long. We don't have a website or any of that new stuff. People just know we are here. We keep our records in those big red books and use a calculator that’s missing a button. It works for us though. My sons help out after they finish their schoolwork for the day. We know nearly everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It’s a loud, busy place but it’s home to us. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, trying to stay useful to the community.
