About Growing Of Kiranam – Food & Beverages in Khammam
We run our kirana shop at house number 1-237 in Pocharam, out here in the Yellandu area. It’s a typical small-town store where we keep a bit of everything. From dal and rice to soap and matches, we try to have what the families in Komararam need for their daily lives. The shop isn't very large, and the shelves are usually packed tight. We spend our mornings getting the fresh stock in and our evenings talking to the regulars who stop by after work. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when the kids come in for sweets after school. The floors are just plain cement, and we’ve got some old wooden counters that have been here for years. We don't use any fancy computer systems; it's all just done by hand in our notebooks. Living and working in the same area means we know everyone’s name and what they usually buy. Sometimes the supplies from Yellandu take a while to get here because of the roads, but we manage to keep things stocked. It’s a lot of long hours standing behind the counter, but it’s a good life. We aren't looking to become a big supermarket chain; we just want to keep the local people supplied with their basic groceries. Growing Of Kiranam is just a family thing, and we’ve been part of this village for a long time now. It’s just us doing what we can in Pocharam every day. We even have some space in the back for sacks of grain.
