104 Hmri

This is the 104 Hmri unit located in Koratalagudem Post. It’s part of the Nelakondapally Mandal in the Khammam District. The address is a bit of a mouthful, care of Yathakularambabu, son of Guravaiah. We’re out here in a rural part of Andhra Pradesh, and things move at a different pace. Our work is mostly focused on the health side of things for the local community. It isn't a big city hospital. It's a small place where people come when they need help or advice about their health. The building is simple, and we have to deal with the heat and the dust like everyone else in the district. We don’t have fancy computers or high-tech gear. Most of our records are kept in big folders and ledgers. It’s a lot of walking and talking to the people in the village. We’ve been here for quite some time, so everyone knows where the office is. We don’t have a big budget, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the roads are bad and it’s hard for people to reach us, but we stay open as much as we can. It’s a quiet life, but the work is important to the folks around here. We just try to help out where we can and keep the unit running smoothly. It’s not glamorous, but it is real work for real people in Khammam.
