Narayan & Prakash Producer Companylimited

Our small company is based at Chandrakali's house, right at number one in Piparkundi Guwara. It is in the Taiyabpur area of Manjhanpur, which is over in Kaushambi. We call the business Narayan & Prakash. It is a producer company, which basically means a group of us farmers are trying to run our own affairs instead of letting others do it. We do not have a secretary or a big sign hanging outside the door. You just have to look for the house in Piparkundi. It is usually a busy place with people coming and going throughout the day. Someone is always checking on the harvest schedules or asking about where to get the best seeds for the next season. We are not trying to be anything fancy or corporate. We are just local people. Sometimes the roads out here in Kaushambi get very muddy when it rains, and it can be hard to get to the office, but we always manage somehow. We handle the business side of the farming together so that nobody gets left behind or cheated. It is a lot of work to keep track of all the different crops and the money, but it is our work and we are proud of it. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks to get attention. We just tell people where we are and show them what we are doing. It is a very straightforward life here in this part of the state.
