By The Way

We’ve been here at Plot No 261 in Peepalgaon for a while now. Most people know us because we’re so close to IIIT Jhalwa. You just take the road down and you’ll see us. It gets pretty busy when the students are out and about. Sometimes the dust from the road is a bit much, but that’s just Jhalwa for you. We started this place without much of a plan, really. It was just an empty spot and we figured people around Allahabad needed somewhere to sit. The weather gets really hot in the summer, so we try to keep things as comfortable as we can inside. It isn't anything fancy. We have some chairs and the usual stuff you would expect. My brother helps out with the daily chores and we usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Sometimes the electricity goes out, which is frustrating, but we manage. You see all sorts of people walking by from the nearby areas. It is a loud place because of the traffic, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. We do not spend money on big signs or anything. Most people just find us by word of mouth or because they were heading to the college and got hungry. It is just a normal daily life for us here in Allahabad. We are just happy to have a roof over our heads and people coming through the door.
