Sulechna Hardware

Sulechna Hardware is right in the middle of New Market. If you look across the street, you will see the Syndicate Bank, so it’s a very busy spot to be. There are people coming and going all day long, either going to the bank or looking for things in the market. Our shop is full of all kinds of metal things, tools, and hardware supplies. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we have so much stock piled up on the shelves and even on the floor sometimes. It smells like iron and oil in here. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s just a place where you come to find a specific bolt or a hammer. The noise from the market is loud—people shouting, motorbikes passing by, and the sound of the bank doors swinging open. We spend our day helping people find exactly what they need for their repairs at home. Sometimes we can't find it right away and have to dig through the back, but we usually get there in the end. The counter is worn down from years of sliding boxes across it. We know a lot of the local builders and handymen who come in every week. It’s a noisy, dusty, but good way to earn a living. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now and the bank is our main landmark.
