Morya Spices & Foods (India) Private Limited is over in Ward 10 in the Makhdumpur area of Korha. It is part of Katihar district. We deal with spices and some other food items that people use in their kitchens every day. There is a lot of grinding and packing happening inside our walls. The air in the building always smells like strong turmeric and dried chilies. It can make you sneeze a lot if you are not used to being around it all day. We have been in this part of Katihar for quite some time now. The neighbors all know us just by the spicy smell that drifts down the street. It is just a regular brick building and there is nothing special to look at from the outside. We work mostly with the local markets around here. A few of us sit on stools and sort through the raw spices by hand to pick out stones. It is slow and boring work but it has to be done right. We do not have a big marketing team or anyone in suits. It is just us and a few workers from the nearby village. The power goes out quite often so we just sit and wait it out or turn on the generator if we have enough fuel. We just want to get the bags filled up and sent out. It keeps our small team busy all through the week.
