We've been at 71, West Pradakshanam Road for a good while now. Most people around Karur know where we are. It’s a busy spot but we try to keep things quiet inside. The rooms are just standard rooms, nothing fancy, but they get the job done if you need a place to sleep. Some of us have worked here for years. You might see the same faces every time you visit. We start early in the morning, usually around 5 or 6, getting things ready for whoever is checking out or coming in. The street outside gets pretty crowded during the day with all the traffic. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy, but that’s just how it is here. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It’s just a desk and some chairs. If you need something, you just ask. We try to keep the floors clean, though with the dust from the road it's a never-ending task. Most of our guests are just passing through for work or seeing family nearby. We don't really do the big tourist thing. It’s a plain building, you can’t miss it if you’re walking down West Pradakshanam Road. We just keep things moving day by day. Nothing much changes here, which I think people actually like. It’s just a place to stay. We don't have those big automatic doors or anything like that. Just a regular entrance. We are just here to provide a bed and a roof.
