Our small business is at number 46 on the Fourth Cross in Vaiyapuri Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads. We do grinding work here, mostly. The machines make a steady humming noise all day, which we’ve all grown accustomed to. It’s just a few of us working in the space. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and find us at the back. We take in the work as it comes and try to get it done by the time the customer needs it. Sometimes we run late if a machine needs a bit of oiling or a part replaced. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do the grinding right so people come back next time. The shop is a bit cluttered with tools and metal bits, but we know where everything is. We handle the billing on a small desk near the entrance. It’s not a fancy setup. We don't use social media or anything like that to get customers. They usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them we were here on the Fourth Cross. It’s just a regular job for us, and we take pride in doing it without making a scene. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like the routine of the work.
