Our place is on the first floor of Karan Complex. It is shop number 30. Mughal Canal is a very busy part of Karnal, so there is always something going on outside our door. The Eight Planet Hotel is right near us, which makes it easy to explain where we are to people who are not from this side of town. To get to our office, you have to walk up the stairs. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. Inside, we have a couple of computers and some filing cabinets that are starting to get very full. It can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We spend most of the day looking at visa forms and checking through documents. It can get a bit tedious sometimes, but someone has to do it. The view from our window is not much, just the street and some other shops across the way. We have been at this location for some time now. We know the shopkeepers downstairs pretty well and sometimes we share a tea in the evening. Most people come to us because they want to go abroad for work or study. We just tell them what papers they need and try to get the filing sorted out. It is a job. We do not make big promises, we just do the work. Sometimes the printer jams and it takes ten minutes to fix it.
