Vardhman Handloom

Vardhman Handloom is found at Plot No. 997 in Huda-Ii, Sector-12. This part of the city has a lot of these plots, and we’ve been in this specific one for a good few years. Like most handloom places, our workshop is full of texture and color. We spend most of our time dealing with yarns and weaving. It’s a very manual process, so you won’t see many high-tech gadgets around our place. We prefer doing things the old-fashioned way because that’s what we know best. The atmosphere in Sector-12 is generally busy, with people moving around and other small businesses nearby. We have a small group of weavers who have a lot of experience. We don’t really have meetings to talk about high standards or anything like that. We just look at the fabric and know if it’s good or not. The office part of our building is just a small corner with a desk and a couple of chairs. We spend more time on the floor than at the desk. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather gets too humid for the yarn, and we just have to wait it out. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We take pride in just showing up every day and keeping the looms moving. If you’re in Huda-Ii, you might hear us working. It’s just a simple, local business trying to keep things going.
