You’ll find Haryana Handloom Store in Arya Up Nagar, right here in Narwana. We’ve been selling blankets, bedsheets, and curtains for a long time. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with rolls of fabric and folded sets. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don't have a lot of fancy lighting, just some regular tubes that show the colors as they are. People from all over Narwana come in to pick out things for their homes. Most of our customers are neighbors we’ve known for years. We spend a lot of time unfolding fabric so people can feel the weight of it. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s fine. We don't like to rush anyone. The floor is old wood and it creaks when you walk near the back. We have a small counter where we wrap up the purchases in paper or bags. It’s mostly just family working here. We take turns opening up in the morning and sweeping the front. Sometimes it’s quiet, and we just sit by the door and watch the street. Other times, like during festival seasons, it gets so crowded you can barely move. We don't do any big sales or gimmicks. We just have what we have, and we tell people the price. It’s a simple way to run a shop, and it works for us.
