If you go to the Main Bazar in Gharaunda, you’ll find us near the Maharana Partap Chowk. It’s a very busy area, so there is always someone shouting or a horn honking right outside the door. We handle a lot of soda water here, and the crates are stacked up nearly to the ceiling most days. It gets a bit slippery on the floor sometimes when we’re moving things around, so we have to be careful. The shopkeepers from the bazaar come in and out all day long to pick up their supplies. We don’t have much time for sitting down when the sun is out and people are looking for drinks. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll see the same faces every time you come by. We don’t really bother with fancy decorations or a big storefront. The main goal is just to get the bottles where they need to go. In the evenings, things slow down a little bit, and we finally get a chance to sweep up the floor and count what’s left in the inventory. The location is good because everyone passes through the chowk anyway. We’ve seen the bazaar change over the years, but our little agency stays pretty much the same. It’s honest work and it keeps the local shops stocked up, which is enough for us to keep going. We just take it one day at a time here in the bazaar.
