S.D. Engineering Works

S.D. Engineering Works is located on Assandh Road, right inside the Bajrang Market area. If you know the market, you know it can get pretty loud and dusty with all the activity going on. Our workshop has been at this spot for quite some time now. We have various machines taking up most of the floor space, and there is always a scent of metal and oil in the air. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. Most of us are in greasy overalls by noon. Assandh Road is a busy stretch, so there is always a lot of movement outside our doors. Inside, we just focus on the tasks at hand. We have a small corner for sitting down to eat lunch or have a quick cup of chai. The walls are covered with old calendars and notes scribbled on pieces of cardboard. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. People just find us at Bajrang Market because we’ve been here so long. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know our way around every piece of equipment. Sometimes we stay late when a job is tricky, and other times we close up right on time. It is a very practical way of living. We just do the engineering work and stay out of trouble. It’s a simple life.
