Home World Handicrafts

Our workshop is at M-16 in the Industrial Area. It is not the most scenic place to work, surrounded by other factories and warehouses, but it is where Home World Handicrafts gets things done. There is always a layer of dust on everything from the materials we use. Since we do handicrafts, there is a lot of noise from sawing or sanding or whatever else is happening that day. We don't have a showroom here, just the work floor and a small corner with a table where we handle the orders. It gets pretty loud during the day with the machines from the neighbors too. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to make the time go faster. Most of the people working here have been doing this for years and know exactly what to do without being told. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We just show up in our work clothes and get started. The lunch break is usually spent sitting on some crates outside in the shade. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but that’s just the nature of making things by hand. We don't have a website or a salesperson. We just fill the orders as they come in and ship them out from the loading dock. It is a practical place for practical work and we try to keep it simple.
