Avtar Steel Pvt. Ltd. is located right in V.P.O. Kachhwa, over in the Distt. Karnal area of Haryana. We have been working out of this spot for a good while now, and it’s become like a second home to most of us. The yard is usually quite a mess with different stacks of steel bars and sheets everywhere you look. It is a loud place, especially when the trucks are coming in or leaving with a fresh load of metal. We don’t have those fancy offices with glass walls or expensive coffee machines. Our office is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of ledgers. Most of our day is spent checking the weight of the steel and making sure the orders for the local builders are ready. The weather in Haryana can be pretty tough, freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer, but the work doesn't stop. We know the people around Kachhwa and they know us. If you need some steel for a project, you just come by and we see what we can do. We aren't trying to be the biggest steel company in the country; we just want to get the job done right for the folks who rely on us. Sometimes we get the paperwork a bit behind, but the actual steel work is always solid. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we’re fine with that.
