M I Engineering Works

Our workshop is at H. No- 8-82/7/6/B in the Autonagar area of Bomakal. It’s a noisy part of town, which is good because we make a lot of noise ourselves with the welding and the grinding. M I Engineering Works is basically just a big shed where we fix things and build metal parts. There’s always iron scraps on the floor and the smell of burnt metal in the air. I’ve been working with my hands since I was a kid, so this place feels like home to me. We take on all sorts of jobs, from fixing broken farm equipment to making gates for houses. Some days the machines act up and we spend more time fixing our own tools than doing the customer's work. It gets really oily and greasy, so we are never really clean by the end of the day. My nephew is learning the trade now, though he still struggles with the heavy lifting. We don't have a receptionist, so if the machines are running, you might have to shout to get our attention. People bring their broken stuff here because they know we will give it a fair look. It’s not pretty work, but it’s necessary for the folks around here. We just stay in Autonagar and keep the hammers moving.
