Out here in Dholpur, things move at a slightly different pace. Our place for Gherzi Eastern Ltd. is situated on the Chetan Nagar Byepass Road in Bari. Being on the bypass road means we see a lot of trucks and travelers passing through all day long. It can get pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the Rajasthan landscape, but that is just part of living and working in this region. The office itself is a straightforward setup. We don't have any big corporate signs or fancy lobbies. It is just a functional space where we handle our business. Most of the people around here know us because we have been at this address for a good bit of time. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main town, but it is easy to find once you are on the right road. We have a small crew and we all pretty much know what the other person is doing. The heat in the summer can be a real challenge, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning. We take our tea breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the village or with our families. It is a very grounded way to work. We don't try to be anything we are not. It is just us working in Bari.
